I had low expectations since I'm not a 'sugar free' kind of person and hate the aftertaste of sweeteners. But this syrup (which I found at Home Goods!) is delicious! I've been trying to find a way to manage my Starbucks (and other cafe) sugar-packed chai latte habit and this certainly helps. My typical routine is using 1 chai tea bag with maybe 2/3 the water you would typically use to make your tea and then the other 1/3 I use milk or a few tablespoons of half 'n half (Yes, half 'n half is high in calories but it is a good backup when there's no milk around! And, you can use less and still get a delicious, creamy chai latte). Then guesstimate on how much syrup to add. I'd say I probably use 1-2 tablespoons. It depends on the tea really. Today I'm using black tea so I went heavier on the syrup. And my husband has this milk warmer/frother/foamer thing so I use that for the milk. It makes it a fancy, cafe-like experience at home! Add the frothed/foamy milk to the tea, sprinkle some cinnamon in and voila! (Today I also added ginger since I used black tea and it was the only other 'chai spice' I had at home.) If you love chai lattes and want an alternative to your sugar-packed, $5 chai lattes, you need this!
